Our Phocuswright Conference recap

We had a blast at this year’s Phocuswright Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida! It’s been a thrilling few days for our team representing Joyned on site, and here is their recap of the event.

A record number of attendees, including some of the industry’s most influential leaders, gathered in Florida to exchange valuable insights, discover the latest trends, and debate about our industry and its future. This year’s theme ‘You, Me and the Machine’ led our discussions on how emerging technologies are set to completely transform travel as we know it today.

Without a doubt, the industry roundtables were one of the highlights of the conference. It was a real pleasure to discuss the latest developments in travel with industry peers and experts, including at our very own roundtable on social commerce powered by Joyned.

Hosted by Sergio Vargas Johansson, our Managing Director of Travel, the engaging discussion on the transition from marketing to transaction to loyalty was praised by the participants. Industry heavyweights were in attendance, including our incredible experts: Sam Abdou from Amadeus, Kirstin Frazell from Meta, and Gary Morrison from HostelWorld as well as our moderator Madeline List from Phocuswright. A huge thank you for joining us and bringing your invaluable experience to the table!

And finally, we’d like to say a big thank you to the organizers and all the other amazing people we met at the event, who are driving the next generation of forward-thinking travel tech companies. Until next time!
